23.3 Setup Assertions

Assertions can be setup for users to complete on a job. To setup new assertions, select the Assertions option in the Customise menu.

Step 1: Select the + Add Assertion button in the top right corner of the page:

Step 2: A new assertion line will be displayed at the top of the list.

Update the following details

  • Narrative: Enter question or statement here, e.g. “Does the item/job meet the required quality measures?”
  • Lower: Select the check box, then fill in a number, this will be the minimum accepted quantity for this assertion if a number value is required.
  • Required: Select the check box, then fill in a number. This is the required quantity for this assertion if a number value is required.
  • Upper: Select the check box, then fill in a number, this will be the maximum accepted quantity for this assertion if a number value is required.
  • Manual: Select this check box if lower, required and upper fields are not required for this assertion, but you would like the user to select or not select a check box to indicate if the assertion passes or fails.
  • Linkage: Select the linkage icon, then select the job categories for which the assertions must show.
  • Actions: Select the add (+) icon to add a new assertion, the save icon to update an existing assertion, or the bin icon to remove the assertion.

To add and complete an assertion to the job, open the job and navigate to the Quality tab. Select the assertion to add it, link it to your job output, then add the result. Save the assertion line on the job.
